Hanging Challenge and new regime!

I have recently successfully been getting myself back into having hobbies! This has meant aiming for a weekly class of Shorinji Kempo, and keeping up cycling.

However, I have also been trying some newer things – the family have just started trying the basic 7-minute workout from this paper. To make it interesting, we have already started small variations. I do one legged wall sits, and squat thrusts instead of jumping jacks, but for now we are sticking with the basic pattern.

Fitting with the seven minute theme, I have also decided to give the Hanging Challenge a try. I love the idea that this is an underused (or unused) area for our shoulders, but that it should be as natural as standing. Exactly how well it will work, I don’t know, but I will certainly start dangling off some more things from now on!

If you fancy it, it seems like there are lots of resources set up to support you. Although it is coming up to the end of the official month, they look like pretty friendly places: a little facebook group and the official IdoPortal group too.
